 So what has happened?
So can anyone give me a quick rundown of what happened to AEG and how Warlod died? I was a playtester back....err....back in the day when RBD had his own team. Never really enjoyed it because there was not enough time to do the job properly and it seemed to be a matter of who shouted loudest got the attention. I then stopped playing due to some personal issues in my life....but lost track of what actually happened.
Anyone able to give me the low down without getting in trouble ?

 Re: So what has happened?
AEG deemed it was not a profitable venture to continue with. Arne Reuter attempted to revive it. First set launched at GenCon 4 years ago. Arne Reuter then proceeded to skull [Censor: Quack!] any and all credibility associated with the Warlord brand. [Censor: poo] costumer service, shady business practice, and late or no payment to industry artists created the wonderful blend that insured Warlord died it's second death. Arne did not renew his licensing agreement with AEG. AEG probably won't touch Warlord ever again due to the image that's associated with it and their new focus on board games. A shame, Arne saved so much money by not paying artists he could have renewed the license for 4 more years!

I doubt it. I don't think AEG would re-license to Arne...'s how I heard it, anyway.

Very sad to hear all this, I too hadn't played this for several years and had been trying to get back into it. But it's also good to see there is still a strong community here.

Too many friends have been made over this forum for us to call it quits because Warlord died.

Penguin is right, and he never would have watched Ghostbusters had we not nagged him for years.

It's one of the main reasons I still play this game, honestly. People in this community are the [Censor: poo].

Despite everything, the game and the community are not dead.
There will be events and players at Gencon.

 Re: So what has happened?
Got ya. Always good to get the story of what happened. I stopped playing years ago but everytime I look up at in my closet I see my cards sitting in their binders & boxes. I'm keeping them so that I can teach my twin boys how to play when they get older !
If I ever make it to GenCon I'll make sure that I bring them.
