Post NJ Winter Campaign Results/Reports
We had about 16 players (there were byes, so not sure what the exact count was).

After Swiss, Top 4 was:

Me: Atiratu Boat-drop 3-0-1
NirvanaTool: Kestrel the Deceiver 3-1-0
Snake13: Sir Robert of Andover 3-1-0
Zeath: Set'rokh 3-1-0

Top 4:

Zeath SINKS THE BOAT!
Sir Bobby blitzes Kestrel.

Finals:
Set'rokh SMASH!

Here's my account of things:

I ran the exact decklist I posted in the Chosen forum:
Mitrasz x3
The Plentiful, The Earth
Atiratu

Redu Carr x3
Nisroch x3
Redu Tam x2
Ygrassyne x3
Shan-Kassyn x2
Bal-Benoth x1
Bem Kaundodo x1
Utnapishtim x1
Getraxos x1
Flayer of Dreams x1
Raging Hungerer x1

I Call Forth Valor x3
Meet at the Inn x3
Counterspell x3
Tether x2
Blink x2
Life is Magic x2

Limited Wish x3
Ring of Vorn x2
Backbiter x2
Smoke Imp x1
Eternity Gate x1
Dark Heart of Kylnion x1

Round 1: vs. Restomagus' Galam-Reth 2-0 WIN
Game 1, Galam tries to blitz me....and gets within a single roll of success. +0 to break all the ranks...needs a 10-up. No go on that strike. Next action, Boat. Turn 2, Raging Hungerer and Friends go to town. Game 2 goes even faster. Boat, Daemons, stupidity.

Round 2: vs. Fatkid's Niobe: 1-1 TIE
We go to WAR. Niobe + Lycans is a gnarly mix. We both generate massive strikes. We both generate LOTS of strikes. I have Planar helping me out, he has healing. Counterspell worked overtime for me, knocking out his Emboldens. I take game 1...he takes game 2. Game 3 goes to time.

Round 3: vs. lastdragon21's Atiratu: 2-0 WIN
The mirror-match! Carl's deck decided to totally crap out on him: Blood Price....no spells. Try again? No spells. Call Forth Valor...blanks. He searches up....but by then I've already got my boat out. Game 2, a little better. We both boat up...we spit out matching sets of Daemons (Getraxos, Flayer of Dreams, Shan-Kassyn) - he rolls odds, and I roll evens. It was bound to come down to something silly like that. Neither of us leaned on our Counterspells, despite having them out and scribed.

Round 4: vs. NirvanaTool's Kestrel: 2-0 WIN
Chris is running the event, so I wasn't expecting to see him here playing a serious deck. Chris is confident he has the meta for my Boat. I'm confident I have the meta for his wizard tricks. We start it up: Chris struggles to land a hit on Mitrasz. I get all my puzzle pieces out. Once I unleash the Flood, Dev cancellation/redirection isn't enough to keep up. We go to Game 2. Chris draws his meta turn 1: Staff of Storage, storing Crevice. Unfortunately for him, once I get the boat to the front, I have Counterspell waiting for his Crevice. Daemon Flood part 2, and the Boat goes to the cut.

Top 4:
I learn to take as good as I've been giving all day as Set'rokh shows me what FAST means.

I'll keep my decknotes/afterthoughts to the relevant thread in the Chosen camp.

Good work all! Set'rokh is really good, would love to see how far off my list Zeath was.

Here's the post with my decklist and a small report on what happened.

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=38483

The event was awesome! It was good to see everyone again and do what we all love doing. I almost didn't play Set'Rokh that day. Went between 4 different WLs (Set'Rokh, Raclesis, Talin Tzin, and Gudleifur) and just picked her right before the event.

Got pics from the event! :D

Image

Hanging out before the event gets started. Playing some random games, getting Eresh challenges in, stuff like that.

Image

Speaking of Eresh, here's Oremm trying to kill the crazy guy.

More Eresh

Eresh had 16 items on...How do you deal with that?!

Raclesis
Warmaster Sceth
Niobe
Pinion
Menhetiri
Galam-Reth

That's up to Nick (Snake13) to post. I can say from going against it that it's fast and pretty effective. He also has an alt start against characters that react (stupid Ryan smacking my Gundas). Not going to say much more about it until Nick says otherwise.

Chances are myself and penguin are going to goto the forgecon in louisville to play in their road to gencon tournament since we couldnt make it to Indy's this weekend.

The sleeves though, those things are horrible IMO. Penguin switched all of his to Dragon Shield sleeves.

You sound like you're surprised?

I really like their sleeves; give the cards a thinker feel when shuffling, lessens the flexibility of course and can wear-down the edges, but I can live with that.

I didn't take pics during every match. I think during that round I was talking to Fish about getting a 3d Raclesis made. That match would have made for a good photo op though.
