Post 100th Yvaalis deck on the forum!
I just got a friend into Warlord and I don't want to steer him wrong decklist-wise since we're going to actually invest some money. He wants to play Yvaalis after playing with the L2P set. Yes I did look around at the other deck lists. I didn't agree with everything I found there. I was curious if anyone can offer some experienced advice on this deck. I wanted to try and run Flurry of Knives and Double Shot. I don't feel like I had to make any crucial sacrifices to run them and the option of Flurry of Knives -> Thimblerig -> Double Shot is nice to have around.

? Is 5 bows enough to warrant 2 Double Shot? Is that a good ratio?
? Is Cloudracer better here than Giant Toad? I wanted the option of bouncing from second to first for far reaching strikes and the option to hop back and grab Frosttalon.
- I intentionally left out Volley and Faerie Bolt because I feel like if you include one you need the other and I don't think I have the room since I opted for Flurry of Knives and Double Shot. I feel like Flurry is fairly versatile in that it can devastate in the first turn or devastate later when you have Hag, Arrows, Raak, Fire at Will, and some charges in the mix.
- I intentionally opted for Gloves of Mischief over Feathered Gauntlets because I think it's that important (note it includes actions).
? What's the thoughts on Submerge x3. Conditional movement card, broken when it works, useless when it doesn't. I assume that every deck has non-spending movement or other Submerges.

All that being said, I have never played Yvaalis or any other ranged Warlord in the 4E arc, so I am just kind of shooting in the dark here.

While strong, I found Double Shot to be too situational. When it worked, it was awesome. But all too often it was a dead card. Volley is probably better due to the multiwounding.

I'd lean towards Cloudracer. The other level threes can equip it.

Submerge is still strong. I'm not sure I'd run three.

Gloves of Mischief is good against other ranged decks. However, Feathered Gauntlets can be helpful against decks that uber and/or run planar. The biggest problem I had when playing Yvaalis was hitting high AC.

5 bows is a lot hehe. I just run 2 Sharkbone Bows and that seems to work for me. I'm not a fan of Frosttalon in Yvaalis because 1) She has marksmanship and 2) She benefits from more ranged attacks. I always found that Ranged Sniper build with the Frosttalons is hit or miss and not consistent enough. As for ratio for Double shots, I've seen 3x Frosttalon work with Double Shot, so adding two more bows should increase the odds.

I also think you should change the Giant Toads for 3x Cloudracers. If you want to add 1 or 2 Giant Toads to that, that's fine. Yvaalis doesn't need steeds to work, but her lackeys do. Cloudracer gets them up to the front the turn they come into play. I personally run 1x Giant Toad and 3x Cloudracers, usually equipping the Giant Toad to Yvaalis when it comes up or ditching it to Feathered Gauntlets if necessary.

I'd consider 2 Faerie Bolts, as Shadith, Raak and Mormaenion can play it too.

Feathered Gauntlets is better than Gloves of Mischief in Yvaalis. In my experience playing Yvaalis, most actions you get targeted with can be handled by Shadow Token or Hood of Distraction.

2x Submerge is the norm. You only run 3 in certain decks and this wouldn't be one of them.

Also, consider running Thwarted!. They will never see it coming.
