 Kerebrus Deck needs help!
I put together a Kerebrus Deck for the Ordo Online Tournament. The idea of this deck was to bring Kerebrus or some other fighter to the front for offence while being able to maintain the rank structure for further high level characters. The deck however didn't work that well. Any ideas on how to improve this deck?
Starting (6): 1 x Kerebrus 2 x Keridwen 3 x Brine Fiend
Characters (19): 3 x Judge Aeacus 3 x Validan 3 x Titan 3 x Dragonkin 2 x Ivaas 3 x Sedayah Rowan 2 x Paymaster Corr
Actions (9): 3 x Aegis 3 x Divine Guidance 3 x Chosen
Items (18): 3 x Celestial Flame 3 x Tower Shield 3 x Camel 3 x Griffon of Misear 3 x War Horse 1 x Verdatha Mount 2 x Healing Potion

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
When I played you as we discussed you didn't wait quite long enough to bring kerby up to the front, should have had a little more meat there to make people scared.
You're also a little Item heavy ( in my opinion at least) especially if you want kerby up front, no order swings and just his 2? and being able to ready ( at the cost of a card ) with the theme you've gone with I could see you doing more of a support cleric, ( sadly probably from second rank, so you'd be de-buffing your own guys ) but maybe from rank 3....
suggestions: Take out the war horses for close combats ( love reacts, it speeds things up ) take out verdatha mount ( if it's for kerby he can only equip in rank 3, if you want him up front it's a waste later on, it could be played on other characters but some swings would be more useful i think )\
Change out some of your spells for some different heals? banish the wound, ect...
let me know what you think, they're just my opinions

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
Did having those high level characters help? Kerebrus can get up front easy enough. He can really go the battle cleric rout.Breastplate of power may help. That means he will have to stay back to get it. I agree a different heal will be good. Holy Might is nice. The paymaster looks bad for you deck. He cannot move many characters unless he is in the 5th. I can see him staying in the 4th. To use him effectively you would need more level three or less characters. Have you though about using Tan'nar Tolson?

IMHO I'll short things close.
Minor DragonKins, Markappal Ivy, Ta'anar Tol'son, Sedayah Rowan for a bit of control.
I think is not useful to run front and build back.

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
Going from what Lord Winter said here are some suggestions. This will make it so he can go up there but won't have to support a full rank structure to keep things going.
-3 x Validan -3 x Titan -3 x Dragonkin -2 x Ivaas
+Ta'anar Tol'son x 3 +Minor DragonKins x 2 +Markappal Ivy x 2 +Keridwen
-Verdatha Mount -3 x Camel -War Horse -Tower Shield
+Bruntor's Helm x 2 +Scale Mail x 2 +Holy Might x 2 +Blasphemer sign x 2

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
At that tournament i was undecided to bring kerebrus or Brymin... and i choose her.
My kerby deck is a frontliner one with the help of Aeacus and Tanaar.Period. All the rest are actions (put Kor's P. in it!) and items for multiwounding/multistriking.
Tomorrow i'll post it if u wish.

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
I would like that. My Kerby is more frontliner with the judge and tanaar to help out. I use a few other characters for a little more diversified offense.

3 Wyvern Gem is really important looks like I'm packing that card in about every deck I build right now and Taannar would be good as well

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
Wyvern Gem IS nice.... but you can see the extra wounds coming a mile away sadly. Great Cleave is far superior, which doesn't do a lot of good in Kerby sadly. If I'm running Brymin and you have extra wounds sitting on the board I'm going to save my redirects for that character that is multi wounding. If I have a cleric I'm going to save my big heals for when you multi wound instead of on a single hp wound, if I'm running a rogue I'm going to sneak/be a rogue in general when you multi wound. Great Cleave is also a SEPARATE wound, so when you're talking about heals you can't Aegis both it and the swing, where as aegis would heal both from the Gem. Again, none of this matters for Kerby ( sorry for a little OT ) But everyone seems to be wild about the Gem... You'll notice that the deck I ran for the Ordo Tournament last weekend didn't run ANY Gems, but 3 Great Cleaves. Ran across a couple people running the Gem and they never got the extra wound from it ( at least on the warlord which is where it REALLY counts ) because I redirected it every time. Just my 2cp and my playstyle

I also had 3 GC in my deck, and 1 Gem.

One I thought you said Tanaar was in here. Two how well has this worked for you? Kerby is out there with this deck and it seem risky at times. Is it consistent and what are problems for you?

 Re: Kerebrus Deck needs help!
We will see how Carter's Kerebrus deck does next weekend - I would hate to give untested advice.

Ta'naa'r isn't necessary. You'd prefer to have the 2nd steed in hand rather than the Merc. It works. Quick Shielding is really useful, as Chosen and Divine Barrier are... CYA G.
