(NOTE: This card has an errata. His first order is "Once per turn." Unsure if the second order has any errata to it.)

Hi. I'm Zeath, and I stole this setup from Bach. I'm going to be setting up posts like this for all of the new Warlords to get people talking about them.

Please fill in the blanks in the posts below, and I'll edit it into this post.

Post Re: The Nothrog of 4E: Warmaster Sceth
Description
I'ma giving this one a try seeing as how it's been up here for almost 2 weeks and nobody else has touched it.

Here's a fun, quick (usually stunning the opposing WL in the front first turn) and easy to make deck concept. Which makes copious and judicious use of Sceths new second order.

Common Deck Styles
1.Blitzmaster Sceth
2.
3.

Card Pool
[Cards marked with a "*" are staple uncommon or common cards, found in almost any style of Warmaster Sceth deck]
Common Starts
●3X Sappers
●2X Angery Crew
Characters
●Any level 1-3 Sieges which can be put intoplay used/ manuvered + readied and used
then eaten to annoy the Crews.
Actions
Close Ranks/ Sudden Reversal. Drawing one= First turn Attacking.
I Have Your Back protect important sieges (Reads Angery Crew)
●Any aggro you want to run. From goodies like Bear's Soul to coasters like Out of Breath and Savage strike. It doesn't matter much when your printed bonus is a +2 and the rest is +12 till end of turn bonuses from eating your sieges. A poor man veriant is entirely possible.
Items
●The only item of note I've found is War Plans making one of your Crews Attack/ React with +12s is definatly worth it.

I wonder if the card pool is here to support to return of the Hellbringer Highlander deck? Now that I have one I guess I have to try.

they gave him a spiffy HP too. makes me want to go up front and try out the reach.
Or sit in rank 2 and kit up with level 7 toys....... Decisions Decisions.

Post Re: The Nothrog of 4E: Warmaster Sceth
I requested him reprinted because he was my first and all-time favorite warlord. I always ran Murgan/Ramzar/Varg meat, Flamespitter/Machine of Lukkot hitters, Sethusk/Toren draw, started Mangonels, ran near-highlander items to boost his ATK/reach (whirlwind boots, blue wyrms egg, king's lady), and used a pseudo build/stall/offensive deck. It worked out really well. I can remember beating some classic Behlials, Lunds, and Sorschas with it in World's and National's. 4E supports a similar build if desired.

I can see the new banner + flamespitter + Sceth's order being pretty nasty. I can also see the Angry Crew/Sappers start getting work done. I'd probably start there with a few offensive characters, meat-heads to stun up, and a focus on items to make his attacks brutal.

This is definitely my deck of choice for 4E. Strong, not broken, and classic all at once. Let me know if I can have a free copy for the suggestion even if my name doesn't end up on the card. I hope so!

I resisted the urge to recreate the highlander build. which also means that I am extremely short on characters that can opt to back up equip my extra items. Frostscale and Flaming longsword seemed to great for the theme, even if there are other, better weapons (BACKBITER).

a little bit of Setrokh tactics thrown in with a mess of Sieges. Hopefully it works. I have a few known holes I have to work through.

His sieges wouldn't be Scyrax's though, so no +2 for them.

I'm thinking of sitting in rank 2 and running a lot of sieges in order to keep his melee strikes going two ranks away. Not sure if that would be a great idea, but he'll be smashing the opposing ranks from the safety of his rank 2 and that's always nice. Run a lot of strike generation to keep the hate going.

Version 1.0 worked - but dice rolls had a bunch to do with that (more that my opponent's rolls were garbage-like) - trucked an Open Inquisitor Chyre last night.

Post Re: The Nothrog of 4E: Warmaster Sceth
I suggested he come back. I'm working on a deck list for him, but so far I feel like it's lackluster at best:

1 Warmaster Sceth* - Boss.
3 Sappers* - Starter.
2 Sir'Kan - Secures kill shots.
3 Angry Crew* - Starter.
3 Ballista Crew - Staple.
2 Disabling Unit - Wish there was another level 2 siege that had a normal shot.
3 Korvos - Shoots the turn he shows.
3 Bludgeon - Uses extra Backbiters/movement.
2 Strak - Turns dead cards into strikes.
3 The Conflagration - Two shots and a sac.
25 Characters/17 Siege

3 Fiendish Armor - Gains charges from sac'ing your own characters or killing theirs. Also gives needed ATK bonus and protects from backward movement.
3 Backbiter - Staple.
1 Havat-lahn Stance - Extra swing at a low bonus. But since there's so much ATK buff in the deck, it's golden.
1 Wyvern Gem - Meat chewing.
1 Panthera - Grab cards again.

3 Heart of the Warrior - Interesting choice. I like it, but I'll have to play test.
3 Thrust - With all the ATK buffing, I'm not scared of the low bonus. It's only 2 below Sceth's natural ATK. Dumps dead cards.
3 Blindside Tackle - React movement.
3 Close Ranks - Controllable react movement.
3 Bellicose - Staple.
1 One with the Blade - With just one weapon, no Camel or Red Steel Gauntlets, I'm not sold on this yet.

Well, if you buy a $50 gift card on the Arne site, you get him and all the other new player-created reprint warlords. The only trick is that just a few weeks after they started that deal, the site went down. Myself and others find ourselves with $50 credit and nowhere to spend it and in the dark as far as if the site will come back up so we can use our money.

Somehow missed that he doesn't get steeds.

My deck needs to be reworked.

Might mean Bardiche. the +2 ATK was weak sauce.
or go with a level 7 item suite.

more testing needed.

Cheater! You wish it was as simple as:

Eat a dude.
Close Ranks.
Griffon react.
Obliterate.
