Re: Amber Diceless RPG - PBEM/PBP
Only time commitment would be a couple of emails a week at max. Character generation is a bit of a time consumer the more players you have, as you all will be bidding for stat supremacy...BLIND.

I was explaining to Kyn via PM...just think of a character...in any modern, past setting or fantasy world. (No Sci-Fi, that's difficult.) Anything will do. You'll be better than those around you, but don't write it all in stone yet. Think about WHO you want to play, and we'll work out the details later.

This might take a couple months to get started and a lot of emails...and I may have to create a base forum here for Character gen information as well as updates. I've done this before with some interesting results...and it allows me to cross-pollinate with the thousands of gamers I know into one interesting story.
If you haven't read any of the books, you'll be fine. If you have...I'm considering setting this during Corwin's imprisonment during the first book. That'll help keep it simple and not the power race the last set of books were. That may change based on the story ideas I have, and the characters that are generated. You won't know your Amberite parent...yet.
As for diceless, it all comes down to what you bid on your stat, and where you rank. So if you are fighting me, and you're ranked #1 in Warfare, and I'm #3, you'll kick my ass handily...so I'd have to find a way to use my stats to win. So if I'm better in strength, I'd just rip up the floor, or grapple you til you gave up. It's about telling a better story with people who are WAY overpowered...so you can do just about what you want.
Hope that explains it better.
Those who are interested in playing, submit me an email to start with for planning. Once characters are made, we're going to create a special google email address for each character. Each Player and I will have the passwords to it, so when character get introduced they can email each other, and I can watch. We'll progress that plan over time. Right now I just need to get a group of about 10 people. I've got 4 others right now.
