I really like pGaspy as a caster. He reminds me of eHexeris with his ability to switch seemlessly between Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

He can Arc Node Hellfire
He can load up his jacks with Focus, then feat, then Cast
He can do the job himself

While he may not be great at any of them, he's pretty good at all of them.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. Having a versatile caster like that may be interesting after playing eIrusk and Harkevich which have more or less just 1-2 tried-and-true playstyles.

Nightmare looks pretty awesome, I'm thinking of getting one to paint. Is it going to be worth adding to my pDeneghra force as I scale it up to 50pts?

Finally will get the chance to actually look in the Cryx book tonight/tomorrow at work. Will post initial 50pt list after.

You just have to decide whether or not giving a Slayer the following is worth 4 poins: Stealth, Ghostly, Reach, Prey, +1 MAT, and +1 ARM.
I would say its a resounding yes, but that's me. When you consider Nightmare outside of one of the Deneghra variants, the loss of stealth makes it a much more vulnerable jack, in otherwords w/o stealth its gonna get SHOT and shot a lot.

I <3 my Nightmare with Deny.

Tonight, got in 5 games, a 35 pt, two 50pt and two 15 pt. Won both 50s and both 15s. Lost the 35 on a complete brain fart, forgetting that Rowdy + Stryker in base to base, neither can be knocked down. WHOOOPS.

MVPs
Krea + Shaman vs Cygnar @ 50 points
Bronzeback + Gladiator vs Menoth @ 50 points
Bronzeback vs Menoth @ 15 points
Bronzeback vs Menoth @ 15 points

So yeah, Bronzeback is BEATZ.

Rowdy can still be knocked down when he's B2B with Stryker, he just doesn't move when slammed. :)

Five games in one night, WTF? How do you fit that all in during just one night? I'm lucky if I could squeeze in two games in a night, tops. At like 25pts.

Anywho, I'm about 80% done painting my Great Bears unit that I worked on most of last week. Hopefully I'll have pics ready to post in a couple of days :)

Deathclock.

The 50 point games take 75 minutes total before dice down (37.5 per side).
The 35 point games take 55 minutes total before dice down (22.5 per side).
The 15 point games take 25 minutes total before dice down (12.5 per side).

All games finished before the clock expired. In one 50 point game I only needed 16 minutes while my opponent had only used 13. That was under 30 minutes for 50 point game.

The Deathclock really brings out the mantra of PLAY LIKE YOU HAVE A PAIR :war: :war: :war: :war: :war: :war: :war:

Yeah, I'm not sure my playgroup would ever adopt that. We're very slow wargamers :)

I was at the game store less than 4 hours in total to get all 5 of those games in.
And that includes enough time to walk to the Vietnamese Pho House and pick up my meatball pho and eat it.

Deathclock is so amazing for WM tournaments. So much better then regular timed turns.

Yeah I can definitely see it for tournament play. We're just a group of friends that play casually though :)

Well yeah, it's not needed for casual play at all :P

But that's also why our games take hours... :D

So I got my wash on my Great Bears last night, all that's left is touch-ups and basing. Hoping to have them done tonight or tomorrow :D
