They're a lot better in Highborn or 4-Star then they are in a pure Dwarf army, you get more options and you're not stuck with en entirely SPD 4 army. Thing like Gun Mages or Kayazy make a surprisingly large impact, and you get a lot more options for solos like Rhupert and Saxon Orrick.

Psh, I can barely stomach the idea of running those ugly Kayazy models in my Khador army. They certainly wouldn't make it into a Stunties list with me

Re: [Hordes/Warmachine] The Elephant in the Room
Stormwall's stats have been posted. Basically I think it boils down to are you considering taking a Cyclone + either a Defender or Stormclad? IF so take a Stormwall instead. With 2 base open fist attacks that a better than Stormclad, 2 Ranged attacks that are almost equal to the Long Barrel on the Defender, The same Dual metal storm cannons (basically) as the cyclone. Sweep Power Attack + the modified Power Strike Slam makes this a very cool Colossal.
Now if your plan doesn't include some variation on Cyclone/Defender/Stormclad then you probably will consider Stormwall but won't see him as a necessary.

It looks kind of awesome though.... it's going on my "When I'm rich enough to just buy [Censor: poo] I want to paint" list.

Yeah, I think it's a pretty cool Colossal. It's a very versatile model while staying in-line with what Cygnar does. I'll be curious to see what the lightning pods do after they enter play (i.e. after the first zap). They must do something, otherwise why stay in play?

Re: [Hordes/Warmachine] The Elephant in the Room
I have painted an elf finally. The light source is from the top down, so look at it straight on kinda looks strange with the shadows. This one is pretty much done. Not sure about the snow though, I'm not sure if the dull coat washed it out or what but it isn't very white, I think I might put another layer down. Here is another, she is not finished, but the whites are finished. And this is a warpwolf that i painted for someone else >.>

Re: [Hordes/Warmachine] The Elephant in the Room
Got in a really great game tonight vs pSevy.
His list. pSevy Crusader Deliverers Flameguard (max + UA) Vessel Vessel Sunburst Sumburst Mechanic Mechanic Choir Reclaimer Covenant Rhupert
My list Xerxis Krea Shaman Gladiator Bronzeback Nihilators (max) Cetrati (max) Paingivers (max) Tyrant Commander & Standard Bearer Aptimus Marketh
Scenario is mosh pit Turn one I run forward, he does the same. Turn two I force my way up in shieldwall controlling most all of the moshpit zone. He is forced to engage or lose. Lots of shooting, lots of continuous fire effect, these eat up most of my nihilators over the next two turns. Turn three, feat, kill off both Vessels and a good amount of the flameguard. Rhupert dies. I end with 4 cetrati left standing and only 2 Nihilators left. All beasts up and moving. Turn four, Bronzeback gets enraged, Maims crusader (on 3 damage rolls, he had 3 boxes left). I trigger smash and grab, single handed throw the Crusader. He lands on pSevy dealing 7 damage. Xerxis gets Defenders Ward and engages what is left of the Flameguard. Krea activates animus and charges next to Xerxis, missing horribly. Flameguard retaliates, Xerxis transfers. Turn five, Sevy gets eaten by a bronzeback.
