Re: Temple of Lore Under New Ownership
Hey folks...
While we appreciate the suggestions, please don't place them here in this thread. We're going to set up a discussion with y'all in a different thread (I'll likely get it up when i get to work later this morning) so we can hear what you have to think on a couple of issues.
Thanks!

Re: Temple of Lore Under New Ownership
What can the average user do to help make Warlord profitable? What does the average user want out of TOL?
There are different types of players, including Timmy, Johnny and Spike. Timmy's would probably start out in the draft format and grow from there. Timmy probably would start out in the draft format and grow from there. I would imagine he would have to come to a crossroads in which they'd buy booster packs and build their style of decks. Johnny and Spike would buy a bit more heavily in order to compete. They'd buy booster boxes and starter decks which would benefit the company a bit. Their consistency of buying each set is what makes or breaks even for Warlord.
I'm not sure how many players are average in this day and age. I have a feeling that many cannot afford buying each set, there are lots of examples of people trading for the things they need; silkyjohnson, Lucky1 and myself for example. This may give value to the secondary market to see what everything is going for. A secondary market could be a good thing to utilize, so I'd say we should have a "Temple of Lore: Stock Market." The stock market would have prices for the power rares or questionable prices as well as trade value in cards, too. This could be another subforum of the Trade Board. I think I might need to help cliffjam out as an apprentice to help get trade histories updated, too.
I think that the Temple's store was a success for Siege911, so if we had some sort of eBay-esque operation, that might be effective. Perhaps the Temple could keep 15% of sales so that would help out with the operating costs and it would be kept for things sold on consignment.
As for how to make Warlord profitable again, I think that AEG and Z should strongly consider a re-set of what Dread has suggested, or just a re-set overall. It makes total sense to do this because we were in the same boat when CE was screwed. I can't understand how in one year things "got this bad." With personnel changes expected, and an announcement likely to follow soon, I think we'll see what they'll do---though I will say this: there are too many ideas floating around and too many things that are still running normally for this game to just die. There's got to be one more chance, and I must say to Z that the third time's always a charm, so why not re-set?

Uth, this does not belong in this thread. Let's focus here, ok? There is already a suggestion thread.

"Three Californians and a 'Zoney" sounds like it could be a Movie or TV show
