What's this all about? When posting in the rules forums, people often haven't memorized the exact wording of a card. If you want to have a quick answer to a question, you need to post the card text. This will help others in answering your question. Luckily, we have an intuitive system to get the card text if you don't have it right in front of you.
The Temple of Lore has a built-in database of all Warlord cards in existence, and you can link to them in your post.
So how do I do it?It's quite easy. You do it using a bbCode function for character, item, and actions. To search the database for the Warlord named Krun you would run the function like this:
This would create a link with Krun as the text that would search the ToL database for any characters with Krun in the title.
You can insert this by either typing the bbCode out or clicking the button above where you type your message and it will add it in for you. You can also select the text you want to search for and click the button and it will add both the beginning and ending tags. Here's how it would display.
Note: The quotes, I added just for display purposes. Normally, it would just display as a normal link in the middle of your post.If you click on the Krun link, you will see that it brings up a new window with a picture of Krun.
The same goes for Items and Actions, obviously, like this:
It would display as:
Actions are as follows.
And would display as:
The searches are not case sensitive so you don't need to worry about capitalizing anything. Also, you can use the spell check to correct any words you may not know the exact spelling for.Now for one more option. If you only know the part of the name of a card for whatever reason, you can type that to and the search will return all results with that word in the title. Here's an example.
This would display as:
As you can see, it returned all items with "Bruntor" in the name. It's quite easy.
Now remember, you can type these in the middle of your post. So it can look like this.
So remember to use this feature when posting rules questions as it will help others in identifying your problem and will get you a quicker answer.
