The Chosen are brand new as a faction for 4E, but they snagged one of the most coveted subclasses with their second Cleric:

Image

Her React is fairly self-explanatory - a temporary buff to help with the cost of sacrifice. The real interesting part...

...is her Order. She focuses on non-daemon The Chosen which is unusual for the faction. Since the buff can only be given to each character once, it makes sense that it's a significant boost...note that she can take advantage of the boost herself also! Why two different levels of buffing? Because she has two main builds: low-level blitz and Cavalry support.

I've broken each build down in detail below.

1. Low-level blitz. This build keeps the pressure on and never lets up. It's also very light on rares, so it's easy to make.

Starting Lineup:
Nin-Gula
Winti, The Earth
Hastari x3

Characters:
Galgalax x3 - Multi-wounder.
Bar'rax x3 - Good choice from Hastari's react.
Darkspawn x3 - Buffs up and stacks.
Amand D'Ilchant x3 - Gets buff with all the Daemons in the rank.
Pazu-Gara x3 - Buffs up huge when placed between two Daemons.
Shulgi x3 - Decent attack and a DC check when sacrificed/killed.
Wailing Scrambler x1 - an alternative start character over Winti for certain match-ups.

Actions:
Lift Up Your Voices x3 - Army-wide buffing. Nin-Gula's Cantor trait makes it beastly.
Song of Strength x3 - A smaller version of Lift Up.
Fervor x3 - Multi-wounding, and a good way to get Hastari's react off.
Final Blessing x3 - Keep your weenies alive just long enough to strike...or shut down opposing recursion effects.
Leveled! x3 - Make the pleebs tougher, they'll be killing lots.
Blind Vengeance x2 - Sacrifice someone and make them extra useful.

Items:
Xeinar's Guard x2
Xantin's Ward x2
Troas' Pawn x2 - The Instructor's Set + Lift Up Your Voices = easy Feats.
Ring of the Savant x2 - Bring your songs (spells) back for an encore.

2. Cavalry Support. This build relies more on the rare heavy-hitters. Balancing the Thralls for sacrifice and the non-Daemon beatsticks is tricky, but here's one way to approach it.

Starting Lineup:
Duanna, Forest People x2
The Earth x2
Nin-Gula

Characters:
The Seed x3 - A must for sacrifice-heavy The Chosen.
Master Naxagoras x3 - With both Nin-Gula's buff and his own, he gets HUGE.
Master Fabas x3 - Another monster with the buffs.
Shonta x3 - Pump up Thralls to level 3 or use Medicine on the heavy hitters.
The Plentiful x3 - a little rank structure stability until you need to sacrifice him.
Redu Tam x2 - Double-sacrifice or just make him huge.
Duanna x2 - Never-ending sacrifice fuel.

Items:
Stormwolf x1 - Let Nin-Gula move the fighters up.
Fountain of Tears x1 - Healing for the low low price of DC 17.
Dallen's Eye x2 - Minor buff for cheap.
Ring of the Savant x2 - Spell recursion.
Griffon of Misear x3 - Movement for the fighters.
Bardiche x3 - Good all-in-one fighter item.
War Horse x3 - Some more fighter movement.

Actions:
Fervor x3 - Multi-wounding wins games.
Lift Up Your Voices x3 - Amazing buffs army-wide.
Minor Miracle x2 - Wound prevention good.
Return to Us x2 - Bring someone back from the dead!

Fun fact: Nin-Gula means "Lady Gluttony" in Sumerian cuneiform.

Wouldn't Hod's Legacy be a good card for about any cleric considering they play Calvary? You could ready a lot of the big guys for when you run out or dont draw any Spend Orders

Yep, good idea.

I was thinking of doing a deck where its quite thrall focused , I rush up lvl 3 thralls like Redu tam , redu diran , and Redu bir buff them with things like chosen and holy might blessing of strength. Master naxx is a no brainer . Is it legible to work?

I have frequently played a deck along these lines. With Yil-Grayl and Ygrassyne being Cantors, Mistress Dagani (for rank-holding), Ring of the Savant plus Song of Strength and LUYV, it's quite doable. It's a little slow, but has quite a bit of staying power so you often end up turning the tables on your opponent.

And I have been playing around with a front rank nin-gula centric deck.

using Amends and Harem Guard to generate additional strikes.
use Imperial scepter, beacon of salvation, and Mask of Command to generate a large attack bonus so that you can use Niobe's Leaf to recycle the Ammends and Harem Guards.

Nothing easily available for Multiwounding though (besides Chosen)

Hmm. A bit like Naram-Sin only taking advantage of having better base stats and Cantor. Me likey.

Fervor.

Blessed Vestments, I assume, since they can be equipped up front. Or Cuirass of the Elements or even Blackstone Spaulders?

Cannot use Fervor on yourself. Boo.

already built, tested, and decommissioned the Nin Gula Death Parrot deck that Malexin and I dreamed up.

Key cards:
War Eagle
Fervor
Blind Vengeance
Potion of Strength

p'kaw! hit for three from two ranks away

Funny idea. I had thought about that, but didn't factor in Blind Vengeance. Brilliant!

Yeah, it's hard to play a front-line cleric smash. The Brom front-line deck totally bombed when I finally got a chance to play it. I also thought about recycling Amends with Niobe's Leaf, but just ran Troa's instead. How did that work out for you? Movement is an issue on top of other things. Having only a few steeds to head forward with isn't fun.

Just noticed - Imperial Scepter is not listed on the promo list as legal. :(

I think I might have the official capacity to fix that.
