 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
Did some further testing and it seems that I need a new harddrive, which is better than having to buy a new lappytop.

 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
You just happen to have a laptop harddrive lying around? Whatever... And new hard drives arent that expensive. In fact a while back target had a 500gig portible hardrive for 100 bucks. And if he buys one he happens to have a warenty, which is always nice.

 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
Well, Josh, I cannot, unfortunately, buy a portable hard drive and install it into my laptop. It, sadly, has to be manufactured precisely for the stupid thing. I tried installing a HD from my dad's old laptop, but it turns out that my HD input is much, MUCH different than his. Bummer. Who is going Tuesday? I want to pween some Nubians with some FreeKy deeky.

 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
I'm sure the prize would stay the same cause Tom's a hard case like that Kalob. But think of the bragging rights for coming in 1st or 2nd out of a field that big. Besides the TO would deserve the $50 for judging a tourney with that many people.

It's a special tournament called "Seth loses any game he plays if he doesn't start playing at DragonFyre again". Edit: I never could get large lettering to work for me on the old Temple, and now I can.

 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
This saturday at Game HQ will just be Epic Constructed singles. Jeremiah pmed me that he would like to hold Dragonlord Challenges there this saturday I just haven't gotten an absolute confirmation back that it will be held or what start time for July 21. Jeremiah is authorized by AEG to fill in as the OK regional Dragonlord until a new more permanent Dragonlord is accepted by AEG. If Jeremiah would wish to run a different format for the main tournament this saturday I am open to suggestions.
Hopefully this doesn't come as too late a bulletin for our area and surounding players to feel left out because of a lack of announcement time. I didn't want to post anything public on the board before I knew for a certainty that Jeremiah will be holding the event for us, and if so when, but Jeremiah seemed pretty certain he could run Dragonlord challenges. The last thing I'm sure either Jeremiah or myself want to be responsible for is stirring up any more negative feelings about Warlord.
So there's what is tentatively on the schedule for this saturday at Game HQ. Be prepared for the tournament fee being the standard $5 entry keeping in mind that goes towards 1 and 1/2 pack of booster packs that Game Hq provides out of it's stock as prize support. Since it will be a special event I will try to negotiate for a free tournament in which I advocate buying at least a little product from the store as a sign of respect and thanks to the store by everyone who can. I will keep everyone posted as to all developments on what to expect to play this saturday.

 Re: ~=+-Oklahoma City Area-+=~
Tobias, you know I respect you and look upon you as a friend, so I mean no harm when I say this:
Game HQ needs more/better Overlord support. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being ungrateful. I am completely grateful that they allow us to spend all day and night there just playing and don't make us buy anything. Heck, I'm even grateful that we have the OLs that we do; but the environment is changing and it seems to me that the non-Epic OLs are falling much easier than I remember. It's come to my attention through certain channels that new OLs are needed to keep up with the current power level that's been given to our evil, little hands.
Also, if anyone has room for one more going to GenCon, I know a guy who would be more than happy to pay for it. Let me know or contract CreedP through PM. Thanks!
