If I lived in Socal, I'd look into it. Yes it's way more than I'm making at the moment, but it's not worth relocating for at this point in time for me.

Sounds like it'd be a good experience though.

If I wasn't on the otherside of the country it might be worth looking into. Got some experience from being a used car lot manager and being a curational assistant at an archaeological lab.

So basically you become AEG's [Censor: dog]. Sweet! And all for $21,000.00. Well, I suppose that if this was in the Chicagoland area I'd take it.

Course it's not like $21,000.00 is anything now-a-days with the economy how it is.

Yeah, you've got to make at least $50,000.00 to make it, but I think it would be good for a college student to have this because it would each them to manage their money and finally learn some responsibility if they haven't already.

I'm just hoping that my major (English with teaching certification) will eventually make me some money, even though I'll need to go back to school and get my master's degree. I'm also not afraid to utilize my minors, either.

Hey - at least AEG is still kicking around and expanding (no matter how slightly). Hopefully this new person can let people know what's going on. The cricket noise was getting deafening.

And yeah - I'd totally do it for double that salary and medical insurance.

You also need to take into consideration that the salary is $21,000.00 in an area of the country that has an incredibly high cost of living.

The cricket noise is still pretty deafening. I'm surprised no one has come out yet from AEG and said, "We're [Censor: Quack!]! We're [Censor: Quack!]!" (In regards to Warlord.)

I doubt the person would have much authority to say anything and probably would be put under the NDA.

It's a little cheaper out in Ontario than it would be in San Diego or LA, but yeah, $21K is not a lot of money for this area. I think they're looking for a college kid or the like. 10 or 15 years ago, I'd have jumped on that salary. Good luck to everyone who applies though.

Me too! Was your job as mindless as mine was? The last few months I was only emptying curation boxes full of limestone, counting them, and then recording my count in a database. It was fun when we were cataloging Cahokian artifacts, but then we got a collection from a defunct CRM. (You can see why they went defunct since they housed so much worthless rock).

The AEG job pays better than that job did.

Same here. There was a time in my life when I could have survived on Ramen Pride 6 nights a week...but those days are long gone!

Yeah the pay sucks for most of us, but as someone said above they're really not looking for someone hoping to support a family. Some college/pre-college type that just needs to pay for gas (still might not be enough) and the such is more than doable for 21k.
